Personally it worked better for me, I mean being home educated meant I actually got the opportunity to sit my math GCSE exam 2 years early so I already have some qualifications, and if I was in school I would have never got that option.
Also I’m doing online courses which mean I teach myself and work at my own pace so you actually manage to get more out of your work because it’s a lot more intense, also you’re not being distracted by 30/40+ other students, like if you were in a public school.
However it does have downsides, you do miss out of the social aspect of things and it sometimes is hard motivating yourself to do said work, especially if you’re inclined to procrastinate.
Honestly I would say it’s all down to personal opinion, I would have never chosen to homeschool but my situation meant I had to take up that option, but I certainly don’t regret it.
